Pipster in a dragster

Anyone heard from Pip since his alter-ego Richard Hammond decided to fly a car into the ground? Has he joined the thousands of 'Hammster' fans who have held vigils outside back-street teeth whitening parlours all over Bristol? Or is there any truth to the rumour that he's attached a jet engine on to the top of the Pip-mobile and was last seen flying across the Downs at mach 2.
